Nz Uni Rowing In Adelaide

The NZ Universities rowing team has won the trans Tasman test series in Adelaide, Australia. The series comprised 4 different boat classes, Men's heavyweight 8+ and lightweight 4- and Women's heavyweight 4+ and lightweight 4x. The team, which included many OURC athletes, traveled to Adelaide during the mid year break and competed against the Australian team in two 2K and one 5k race. A strong headwind made for difficult conditions in the first two races, while the 5k course was calmer and provided a great venue for some exciting river racing.
The results where:
NZ Mens 8+: Lost 3-0
NZ Mens LW4+: Won 2-1
NZ Womens 4+: Won (on margins)
NZ Womens LW4x-: Won 3-0
