Training In China

The OURC mens 8 has continued their training in China on the Shunyi Olympic course. Initially the visibility was very poor and it was barely possible to make out the finish line from the launching pontoons about 200m away. However some wind and rain came through and cleared the air and the entrie 2000m course was visible. The wind picked up and was quite strong making for some challenging conditions for training. Some final adjustements were made to the boat and everything is ready for the racing. An interesting race format sees the heat being raced very close to the final - the heat is scheduled to commence at 9:50 and the final at 10:30AM Beijing time.
