Otago Win Big In China

Otago University have won the 2009 Xinjin Water City International University
Rowing Regatta in China. Otago beat Sydney (AUS), Trinity College (USA) and
Peking University (CHN) in the final in front of a crowd of over 100,000. The B
Final was contested by Yale (USA), Milan (Itlay) Copenhagen (Denmark), Tsinghua
(China). The event was staged amid much fanfare as a part of a local dragon boat
festival which was screened nationwide in China on state television.
