A huge congratulation to Hannah Bailey on her recent junior campaign.
Travelling to Hamburg, Germany as the Women Sculling reserve member she lined up in a double scull, as she wasn't needed to cover any of the top crews. Hannah and Doubles partner Luka Ellery showed that they deserved to be in the World Championships, with a 1st placing in the B Final, 7th in the world.
Rowing New Zealand website: "Reserves Hannah Bailey and Luka Ellery rowed a perfectly timed race in the B final of the junior women’s double. The duo worked their way from third to second and finally took the lead in the last quarter of the race to finish in first ahead of South Africa and Lithuania and gain an overall placing of seventh."
