Otago Rowing In China

Otago University Rowing has now arrived in China to compete at an international university rowing regatta. The event is being widely advertised in China as it is a part of a dragon boat festival and is being broadcast live on China state TV CCTV1, China's main station. Chinese officials have estimated approximately 10,000 will be at the course spectating with many more watching on TV. Along with the rowing a cultural performance from each University will also be televised as part of a cultural exchange during the festival.
